Our Memory-Centred Care

At St Luke’s ElderCare (SLEC), we recognise just how priceless, powerful and deeply personal memories are. Memories are a collection of moments we treasure, people we love, and experience that shape who we are. Together, they tell the story of a life.

That is why, in our mission to enrich the lives of our elders, we place memories at the heart of what we do. We create new memories of joy, care for memories in the present and celebrate memories that honour the past. And in doing so, we hope to create more meaningful moments and brighter days for our elders.
Our work in memory‑centred care is anchored on four pillars
Place
Senior-friendly spaces designed to bring comfort, familiarity, and a sense of belonging.
Programme
Signature programmes such as MELO‑D, Golden Memories, Virtual World and Memory Moments, that evoke recollection of the elders’ past and reinforce their sense of identity and self-worth.
People
Tailored training for healthcare professionals, volunteers and caregivers to build their capability to care for seniors living with dementia.
Partnership
Collaborations with healthcare and social agencies, academia and the arts to enhance memory‑centred care, especially for elders living with dementia and their caregivers.

Caring For Memories

Living in the Present

Memories hold our values, experiences and dreams – everything that makes us uniquely ourselves. Even when memories begin to fade, the person behind them remains. At SLEC, we explore how holistic care can preserve dignity and bring comfort and meaning to dementia support.

Join us at the SLEC CommCare Symposium and walk away with fresh insights and valuable skills that will make a lasting impact in the lives of those you care for.
Celebrating Memories

Honouring the Past

Memories remind us of where we have been, what we have overcome and the legacy we leave behind. At SLEC, we believe every life story deserves to be celebrated and honoured.

Stay tuned to this space for our Celebration of Life! event coming this November.
